Camper: EU Sizing, Pelotas vs Runner vs Twins, and Leather Care Explained

Camper is a shoe brand from Mallorca, known for rounded, comfortable designs, bold colours and quirky details such as the mismatched Twins pairs. It sells sneakers, casual shoes, boots and sandals for men, women and children through its own stores and website.

The two things that decide whether a Camper order works are the size, because the brand uses European sizing and its lasts vary, and the line, because a Pelotas and a chunky Camper boot fit and wear very differently.

Sizing Camper shoes

Camper sizes in European numbers, and most styles come in whole sizes only. If you are a half size in another brand, the choice between rounding up and rounding down depends on the model.

Read the fit notes on each Camper product page, which often say whether a style runs large or small, and check the size guide in centimetres against your foot length. Measure in the evening, standing, with the socks you will wear.

Camper lasts tend to be generous at the toe, which many buyers find comfortable. Slimmer feet may prefer a model with laces over a slip-on for a secure heel.

The main Camper lines

Pelotas is the classic Camper sneaker, based on Mallorcan bowling shoes, with a sole made of small rubber balls. It is light and grippy and has been in production for decades.

Runner and Runner K21 styles take a retro trainer shape with a cushioned sole. Right is the everyday Camper line of simple lace-ups and loafers for work and weekends.

Twins pairs deliberately mismatch the left and right shoe, with different prints or motifs. They are a statement, so check both shoes in the photos before ordering.

Chunkier lines with thick lug soles, such as Brutus and Walden, weigh more and feel firmer underfoot. Choose them for city winters, not for long walking days.

Soles, leathers and weight

Camper product pages list the upper material, lining and sole. Smooth leather is easiest to care for; suede and nubuck look softer but mark more easily. Many Camper styles also use recycled or plant-based materials; the page will say which.

Sole weight affects comfort over a day. The Pelotas ball sole is light; a thick Camper platform or lug sole is much heavier. If you walk a lot, look at the sole profile as closely as the upper.

Some Camper shoes have removable insoles, which helps with orthotics. It is listed in the product details when present.

Caring for Camper leather

Treat new leather Camper shoes with a protective spray before wearing them in rain. Clean with a damp cloth and a leather conditioner; use a suede brush and eraser on suede. Let wet shoes dry at room temperature, away from radiators, stuffed with paper.

Rotate shoes where possible. A pair worn every day wears its sole and lining much faster than two pairs worn alternately.

Delivery, returns and exchanges

Camper has typically offered returns and exchanges on unworn shoes within a set period; check the current window and whether returns are free in your country. Try new Camper shoes on indoors on a clean floor first, so they stay returnable.

Keep the box. Returns usually need the shoes in their original packaging.

When Camper prices drop

Camper runs seasonal sales at the end of summer and winter, and occasional private sales for registered customers. Popular Pelotas colours sell out in common sizes, so buying at full price with a code is sometimes wiser than waiting.

Sale stock at Camper is usually last season's colours and the less common sizes. If you have a very common size, expect the best Camper styles to be gone early in a sale; if you wear an unusual size, sales are where you will find the deepest reductions.

Where the Camper savings are

CAMPER2413X — 25% offSHOW COUPON CODE
CAMPERSMS20off — 20% offSHOW COUPON CODE
CAMPERCAMPER15 — 15% offSHOW COUPON CODE

The 25% code is the strongest here. Try it first on full-price Camper styles, since codes of this size often exclude sale items or specific collections.

The 20% code has been linked to Camper text-message sign-ups. It may be limited to one use per customer, so save it for a larger order, such as a pair of boots.

CAMPER15 is a fallback when the others will not apply. On a pair of Pelotas it still takes a useful amount off.

Camper codes generally do not combine with each other or with sale prices. Enter one, check the basket total, and try another if the saving is smaller than expected.

Common questions

For city walking, yes; the ball sole is light and grippy. For long days on rough ground choose a sturdier shoe.
