EaseUS: Data Recovery, Backup or Partition Software and Which Licence to Buy

EaseUS makes Windows and Mac utility software: data recovery, backup, disk partitioning, disk cloning, phone transfer and a few media tools. Each program is sold separately, with its own licence options.

The EaseUS order that goes well starts with the right program for the actual problem, a test with the free version where one exists, and a licence length that matches how often you will use it.

Match the EaseUS tool to the job

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is for files that are already lost: deleted by mistake, on a formatted drive, or on a card or disk that no longer mounts. It scans the drive and lists what it can find.

EaseUS Todo Backup is for protecting files before anything goes wrong. It makes scheduled backups of files, folders or a whole system to another drive or to cloud storage.

EaseUS Partition Master resizes, merges and converts partitions, and EaseUS Disk Copy clones one drive to another, which is what you need when moving to a new SSD. Buying the wrong one of these is the most common EaseUS mistake, so read the product page for your exact task.

Test with the free version first

Several EaseUS programs have a free edition or a trial with limits. For data recovery, this means you can usually run the scan and preview recoverable files before paying, with the limit applying to how much you can actually save.

That preview is the most useful step in the whole purchase. If the files you need show up intact in the EaseUS preview, a paid licence is likely to recover them. If they do not appear, paying will not change the scan.

For recovery, stop using the affected drive straight away and install the EaseUS software on a different drive, so nothing overwrites the lost data.

Save recovered files to a second drive as well, never back onto the drive being scanned. And know the limits of any software: a disk that clicks, is not detected at all or has been physically damaged needs a professional recovery service, and no EaseUS licence will fix that.

Before running EaseUS Partition Master or a disk clone, back up anything important first. Partition changes are usually safe, but a power cut or a wrong selection mid-operation can cost data.

Monthly, yearly or lifetime

EaseUS usually sells licences in several lengths, commonly monthly, yearly and lifetime, sometimes with a separate technician or business tier. The right choice depends on the job.

A one-off data recovery suits a short licence: you recover the files and you are done. A backup program runs for years, so a yearly or lifetime EaseUS licence makes more sense there.

Lifetime licences cover the version you buy, and the product page states whether free upgrades are included. Read that line before paying the higher price.

Renewals and cancellation

Subscription licences bought from EaseUS commonly renew automatically. If you only need one month of Data Recovery Wizard, note the renewal date and turn off auto-renewal in your EaseUS account or with the payment processor after purchase.

Check the current EaseUS refund policy before buying. Software refunds generally depend on the circumstances, and a failed recovery after a successful preview is treated differently from a change of mind.

Windows, Mac and number of machines

EaseUS sells Windows and Mac versions separately, and a licence for one does not usually cover the other. Choose the platform on the product page before adding to the basket.

Check how many computers the licence covers. Home licences are typically for one PC; business and technician editions cover more machines or allow use for clients.

Where the EaseUS savings are

EASEUSBF2025 — 70% offSHOW COUPON CODE
EASEUSBACKUP25 — 50% offSHOW COUPON CODE
EASEUSSIMPLYCODES30 — 30% offSHOW COUPON CODE

The 70% EaseUS code is the largest and looks tied to a seasonal sale, so it may only work in that window. Try it first and read the discounted total carefully.

The 50% code, by its name, is aimed at backup software such as EaseUS Todo Backup. It is the natural choice for a yearly or lifetime backup licence, where the saving is largest in cash terms.

The 30% code is the general fallback when the other two are rejected for a product or licence type.

EaseUS codes do not combine, and the on-site price is sometimes already reduced. Compare the code price with the sale price, and remember that a discount on the first term may not apply to automatic renewals.

Common questions

Is EaseUS Data Recovery free?

There is usually a free edition that scans and previews with a recovery limit. Larger recoveries need a paid EaseUS licence.

Does an EaseUS licence renew automatically?

Subscriptions commonly do. Check your EaseUS account after purchase and switch it off if you only need one term.

Which EaseUS tool moves Windows to a new SSD?

A disk cloning tool such as EaseUS Disk Copy, or the cloning feature in other EaseUS programs where listed.

Does a Windows licence work on a Mac?

Not usually. EaseUS sells the two separately.
