Eunorau E-Bikes: Fat Tyre vs Step-Through, Battery Size and Safe Charging

Eunorau sells electric bikes direct to riders, with a range that spans fat-tyre bikes, step-through commuters, cargo models and full-suspension off-road bikes. The bikes ship in a box and need final assembly at home.

A good Eunorau purchase starts with the frame that fits how you ride, then the battery and motor that fit your distance and hills, and finally how you will charge and store it safely.

Choosing a frame type

Fat-tyre Eunorau bikes use wide tyres that float over sand, snow and gravel and soften bumps. They are heavy and slower to pedal without assistance, so they suit mixed terrain more than daily city commuting.

Step-through frames are easier to mount, especially for shorter riders or anyone with limited hip movement. They suit commuting and errands.

Cargo Eunorau models carry children or shopping on a rear rack and are long. Check where you will store one and whether it fits in a lift or hallway before ordering.

Full-suspension bikes absorb rough trails best but cost more and add weight. For paved roads, a front fork is usually enough.

Battery, range and motor specs

Battery capacity is measured in watt-hours. A higher figure generally means more range. Eunorau offers some models with a dual-battery option for riders covering long distances.

Quoted range depends on the conditions it was measured under. Rider weight, hills, wind, tyre pressure and how much assistance you use can cut real range sharply. Plan on less than the headline figure.

Motor power is quoted in watts, with torque in newton-metres. Torque matters more for hills and heavy loads. A torque sensor gives a more natural feel than a cadence sensor, which applies power as soon as the pedals turn.

Check whether a model has hydraulic disc brakes. On a heavy e-bike, strong brakes are worth paying for.

Local e-bike rules

E-bike laws vary widely. In many US states, e-bikes fall into classes by top assisted speed and whether they have a throttle, and some paths restrict which classes can use them. In the UK and much of Europe, a legal e-bike is limited to 250 watts and 15.5 mph of assistance.

A powerful Eunorau model sold in the US may not count as a bicycle in other countries. Check your state or national rules, and any age or licensing requirements, before buying.

Helmet and riding safety

Wear a properly fitted helmet on every ride. E-bikes reach higher speeds than most people ride on a normal bike, and some local laws require helmets for certain classes or ages.

Lights and reflectors matter for commuting. Check what your Eunorau model includes and add more if you ride in the dark. Practise braking in a quiet place before riding in traffic, as a loaded e-bike takes longer to stop.

Charging and battery safety

Use only the charger supplied with your Eunorau battery or an approved replacement. Cheap mismatched chargers are a known cause of battery fires.

Charge on a hard surface, away from beds, sofas and escape routes, and do not leave it charging unattended for long periods. Unplug once it is full.

Stop using a battery that is swollen, cracked, leaking or unusually hot, and contact Eunorau support. Store batteries at room temperature and part-charged for long periods off the bike.

Delivery, assembly and service

A Eunorau bike arrives mostly assembled. Handlebars, pedals, front wheel and sometimes the seat need fitting. If you are not confident, have a local bike shop assemble and check the brakes; not every shop services direct-to-consumer e-bikes, so ask first.

Check the current warranty terms and return policy before ordering. Returning a large boxed e-bike can be costly.

Keep the Eunorau box and packing for the first few weeks. If a part arrives damaged or a return is needed, the original packaging makes shipping far easier and protects the frame and battery.

Where the Eunorau savings are

EUNORAU EBIKEWELCOME — $50 offSHOW COUPON CODE
EUNORAU EBIKEEBIKE — 5% offSHOW COUPON CODE
EUNORAU EBIKESAVENOW — 5% offSHOW COUPON CODE

The maths is simple. A 5% code beats $50 once the order is over $1,000, and most Eunorau e-bikes cost more than that. On a bike, use the percentage.

The $50 code is better on accessories, spare batteries or a small order under $1,000. It may be limited to first orders.

The two 5% codes are backups for each other. Codes on Eunorau usually do not stack with each other or with site-wide sales.

Always compare the code price with any sale price shown on the Eunorau site. During big sales the list discount can beat any code.

Common questions

Is a fat-tyre Eunorau good for commuting?

It works, but it is heavy. A step-through or commuter model is easier for daily city riding.

How far will a Eunorau battery go?

It depends on terrain, weight and assist level. Expect less than the quoted maximum.

Can I charge my Eunorau battery overnight?

It is safer to charge while you are nearby and awake, then unplug when full.

Is a Eunorau e-bike legal where I live?

Check your local rules on power, speed and throttles before buying.
