Jiffy is a custom printing business that sells direct-to-film transfers, UV DTF transfers, stickers and custom apparel, aimed at small print shops, sellers and hobbyists. You upload artwork, Jiffy prints it, and you apply the transfer yourself with a heat press.
What decides whether a Jiffy order goes well is the artwork file and the product type. A low-resolution file or the wrong transfer for the surface wastes money. Get those two right and the rest is simple.
DTF or UV DTF
Standard DTF transfers from Jiffy are made for fabric. They press onto cotton, polyester and blends with a heat press, which makes them the choice for shirts, hoodies and bags. They are the core of the Jiffy range.
UV DTF is a different product for hard surfaces. It works like a rub-on sticker for cups, tumblers, phone cases and similar items, with no heat press needed. Do not order UV DTF for garments.
If you do both kinds of work, keep the orders separate in your head. The Jiffy codes below even split this way, with DTF and UV DTF codes listed on their own.
Gang sheets and sizing
Jiffy lets you order individual transfers or gang sheets, where you fill one sheet with many designs. Gang sheets usually make the most sense for small logos, sleeve prints and batches of mixed designs.
Measure the print area on your actual garment before sizing designs. A full-front adult print and a youth shirt print are different widths. Check the Jiffy size guide for the options offered.
Leave the spacing the Jiffy builder asks for between designs. Crowded sheets are harder to cut cleanly. A little margin saves ruined transfers.
Preparing artwork
Send high-resolution files at the print size, ideally with a transparent background. A PNG with transparency is the common choice for DTF. Anything left in the background will print.
Check thin lines and small text. Very fine detail can fail to transfer cleanly. Thicken hairline strokes before uploading to Jiffy.
Look at the preview carefully before paying. Jiffy prints what you send, so spelling mistakes and white boxes become your problem once the order is made.
Pressing and care
Follow the press instructions Jiffy supplies with your transfers, including temperature, time, pressure and whether to peel hot or cold. Different transfer types can use different settings.
Test on a scrap garment first when you use a new press or fabric. Poor adhesion is usually a pressure or time problem. A test costs one shirt instead of a batch.
Tell your customers to wash pressed garments inside out and avoid high dryer heat. That protects the print and your reputation.
Turnaround and shipping
Jiffy lists production times and shipping options at checkout. If you have an event date, build in production time plus transit, not just transit alone.
Shipping cost can make a small order poor value. Grouping several jobs into one Jiffy order spreads that cost. The free-shipping code below helps when it applies.
Ordering for a small print business
Many Jiffy buyers resell what they press, on Etsy, at markets or for local teams. For them, the cost per transfer matters more than the order total. Work out that figure before choosing between single transfers and a gang sheet.
Order a small test run from Jiffy before a big job. It shows you how the colours print on your garment colour and how the transfer feels once pressed. Bright colours on dark shirts are the usual surprise.
Keep your master files organised by customer and size. Reordering from Jiffy is much faster when the artwork is ready to upload again without edits.
Where the Jiffy savings are
The 50% DTF code is the strongest option for a transfer order. It fits a large gang sheet order best, where half off is the most money.
The sticker code covers custom sticker orders. Use it on a sticker-only basket rather than mixing products.
The UV DTF code is for hard-surface transfers. Codes are often limited to their named product, so check at checkout which items it applied to.
Only one code will usually work per order. If you are buying DTF and stickers, two separate Jiffy orders may save more than one combined basket.
Compare the free-shipping and dollar codes on small orders too. On a single Jiffy gang sheet, removing the delivery charge can be worth more than a small percentage off the print itself.
Common questions
Do I need a heat press for Jiffy transfers?
Standard DTF transfers need a heat press. UV DTF transfers apply by hand to hard surfaces.
What file should I upload to Jiffy?
A high-resolution file with a transparent background at the print size. PNG is the common choice.
Can I put many designs on one sheet?
Yes, that is what gang sheets are for. Leave the spacing the builder asks for.
Does Jiffy sell blank shirts?
Check the site for current blank and custom apparel options. The range may change.
